Welcome to our Monthly newsletter. It's almost spring! With this changing weather we weren't sure whether to make red or white our offer this month, so we are offering a deal on both!

Chateau de Saurs Gaillac Rouge 2010

We are onto our last stocks of this excellent wine form the 2010 vintage. From an organic producer (no artificial chemicals or sprays) .

It's a blend of Shiraz, Merlot and a unique indigenous variety called Braucol (which gives it lovely fruit and some spiciness.

We would describe this as a medium weight wine. Very versatile with a variety of foods - charcuterie, cheese, the last of the winter casseroles and the first of the spring barbecues.

Chateau Beycheville Grand Bateau 2012

We have a new vintage of this popular white wine. It's 100% sauvignon blanc.

The same team that produces the prestigious classified Chateau Beychevelle red wine, makes Grand Bateau. Chateau Beychevelle is a classified Saint-Julien cru classé producer with a tradition of growing vines on the Garonne gravel of the Médoc dating back to the Middle Ages.

Our Tasting notes: Aromatic nose with buttery-vanillin oak notes and tropical fruit. On the palate the wine is round, fleshy with wonderful minerality and delightful tropical fruit flavours. Lovely balance between the oak, fruit and acidity. Excellent finish.

This was one of the standout wines at the Vinexpo 2015 wine exhibition in Bordeaux. It offers value for money and exquisite drinking. Just drink on its own, enjoy with a pre-dinner platter or seafood and white meats.
