Chateau Greysac is a Cru Bourgeois producer in the Médoc.

Jean Guyon, owner of Château Rollan de By, Château Haut Condissas, Château Tour Seran, and Château La Clare added Chateau Greysac to his esates in 2012.

Passionate, perfectionist, Jean Guyon treats his vineyards with the same luxury and refinement as the Grands Crus. Everything is made to created something outstanding. "La Haute Couture" in the wine business. But these wines offer good value for money compared to the grand cru wines.

Chateau Greysac is a 95 hectare estate situated on a terroir of clay and gravelly soils around the village of By, north of St Estephe. The median age of the vignes is 20 years and the density of plantings is 7500 per hectare. Plantings are dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) and Merlot (38%), with Cabernet Franc (10%) and Petit Verdot (2%).

Through this acquisition from the company Old Town, Domaines Rollan de By becomes one of the most important properties of the Medoc, both for the quality of its wines and its size - 200 hectares of the exceptional terroir around the area of By. Domaines Rollan de By is now one of the leaders of the Crus Bourgeois, with four chateaux labeled and four other castles, producing more than one million bottles per year. Distributed in over 50 countries, our wines are also often selected by airlines for their customers, especially in Business Class.

Jean Guyon said "Château Greysac enjoys the same exceptional soils that have made the reputation of Château Haut Condissas and Château Rollan de By, soils having demonstrated their quality."

Old Town : "We owned Château Greysac for nearly 40 years and are pleased to sell it to Domaines Rollan de By, who brings together two beautiful vineyards in a single very coherent estate on all of the best vineyards of Medoc and will continue to produce wines of excellent quality"
