Domaine Roche-Audran

vincent rochette winemaker domaine roche-audran

Domaine Roche-Audran was created in 1998 , constructing the winery in a wooded area at the foot of the Buisson vineyard on land cultivated by the Rochette family for five generations.

The vines, aged from 35 to 100 years, are situated on three different terroirs: Visan, Buisson and Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

Out of respect for the natural character of the vineyards, and also to maximise the pure expression of these fabulous terroirs, only natural products are used (no artificial sprays). The aim is to conserve the fertility of the land and to protect its plants and the natural ecology. In 2006 the first Biodynamic spraying was commenced, and since then all of the work in the vines and in the winery have followed natural rhythms. The cultivation of olive trees, production of honey and also the grazing of horses between the vines in winter contributes to the harmony and natural energy of the ecosystem.

Winemaker Vincent Rochette says "We are very proud of this all-encompassing practice, and our conviction and commitment is endorsed by the certification we have been awarded by Demeter for products created through Biodynamic agriculture."
