Gaillac

Galliac is a small appellation north of Toulouse.  It is at the confluence of continental influences from those from the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.

Gaillac is a region of surprises with a unique collection of indigenous grape varieties including Braucol, Duras, Fer Servadou, Loin d'oeil and Oendenc as well as more well known varities such as Syrah (Shiraz) and Cabernet Sauvignon. The magnificent Tarn River with gorges that it has carved out over the years has created a unique and exciting landscape. Hill villages, the rose coloured stone of the market towns of Albi and of Gaillac, rolling countryside and rich farmland, all combine to produce a unique setting and some wonderful wines to discover.

The Gaillac vineyards have been carefully refined over the centuries through a combination of the cultivation of the earth, the particular varieties of grape chosen and the carefully methods of producing the wine, that is specific to this region.
