The Oulié family has been producing Vic-Bilh AOC wines in the Madiran region for four generations at Domaine du Crampilh.

Facing the Pyrenees Mountains, Madiran produces red wine based on variety Tannat, blended with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

White wines are from the appellation Pacherenc de Vic-Bilh, which applies to sweet wines. The name is derived from an old dialect: Vic-Bilh means old country, and Pacherenc refers to the lines of vineyard stakes which once characterised the landscape.

The white wine is made from hand picked grapes with high natural sugar levels. While similar in style to other late harvest wines such as those from Jurancon, Pacherenc-de Vic-Bilh has a slightly higher alcohol level and is full-flavoured with honey and fruit aromas.
