Dear All,
This is our last
DiscoverVin Newsletter for 2012!
Firstly the team at DIscoverVin would like to thank you for your support in 2012. We wish you a safe and happy Christmas/holiday season and a prosperous 2013.
We are very happy to have seen our business grow over the last 18 months and we have loved sharing with you our passion for the wine and food of France.
During this time we have had 41 reviews in the national media for 27 different wines in our portfolio, and we have been thrilled with the feed-back on our range, including comments like this from wine writer, Winsor Dobbin .....
"Yet another well-priced import from the south-west of France from the team at DiscoverVin, who seem to have the knack of sniffing out bargains..."
We hope to become your "go to" supplier for good-value and interesting wines from Bordeaux and the South-West of France.
And we always welcome feed-back on how we can improve our service or products.

Paris to Provence at Como- Melb French Festival:
We had a great time at the Paris to Provence Melbourne French Festival. It was fantastic to meet hundreds of new customers, and put faces to names of our regular customers.
Before the crowds appeared!
One word summed up the weekend..... rosé!!
Was it the hot weather?
Was was it the fact that it was a French event?
Or has a revolution in consumer behaviour really begun?
Just like in France in their summer, our sales of dry rose at the weekend festival outsold white wine.
It certainly looks like dry rosé is on the up and up.
We have 2 dry rosé wines featured in the Rosé Revolution and we are expecting quite a bit of media regarding our two wonderful rosés.
The first article has appeared in the Australian Madison magazine which says "If decadence with what you're after, then you won't be able to resist Domaine de la Croix, Irresistible rosé 2010, which is harvested in the South Eastern region of France." $25 for 750mls, and $19.90 for 500mls
The other dry rosé which went head to head with the Domaine de la Croix as the most popular wine at the Festival was
Château La Rayre Rosé.
$17.99
Any customer purchasing this wine can go into a draw to win a holiday.
Since our last newsletter we have had 2 independent reviews both by Sean Mitchell in the Grape Observer (who is now convinced there is good wine available from the 2007 Bordeaux vintage. Again we belive they represent good value at these prices.
And also Ch D'Aiguilhe named as one of the 'rising stars" of Bordeaux, was on the cover of Decanter magazine in October.
